Astellas Appoints Eloiza Domingo-Snyder to Head of Diversity and Inclusion

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Nov. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Astellas today announced that Eloiza Domingo-Snyder has been appointed to executive director of Diversity and Inclusion, Astellas US. In this newly created role, Domingo-Snyder will be responsible for developing and implementing a sustainable Diversity and Inclusion strategy that is embedded in the fabric of the organization, reflecting and enhancing Astellas' culture and work environment. She will report to Collette Taylor, senior vice president, Human Resources and Facilities Management.

Previously, Domingo-Snyder served as Deputy Chief Diversity Officer and senior director, Diversity and Inclusion at Johns Hopkins Medicine and Health System Corporation. There, she executed diversity leadership programs over all the Johns Hopkins' Maryland, Florida and global academic medical facilities and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Prior to that, she worked as a consultant and department lead for Diversity and Inclusion at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, serving as a subject matter expert and counsel to leadership groups concerning clinical cultural competency, language access services, international patient care programs and strategic alignment of cultural competency.

Domingo-Snyder earned her bachelor's in psychology and Spanish, and her master's degree in higher education and student affairs from Indiana University, Bloomington. She is earning her doctorate in philosophy in literacy, language and culture from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

Domingo-Snyder has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World by the Filipina Women's Network, received the 2017 Senior Executive award from the National Association of Healthcare Executives, and was featured on the Maryland Daily Record's Very Important Professionals Success by 40 list.
