NORTHBROOK, Ill., May 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Anne Keating, executive director and global development project leader for oncology at Astellas, will be honored today as a Luminary by the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association at its 27th Woman of the Year event at the New York Hilton Midtown.
Nearly 2,500 leaders across the industry are expected to attend the HBA Woman of the Year event, which showcases the HBA's goals of furthering the advancement and impact of women in the business of healthcare. HBA Luminaries have more than 20 years of professional industry experience, serve as role models in their company, actively mentor and sponsor others and exemplify transformational leadership.

With more than 20 years of drug development experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Keating began her Astellas career as director of clinical operations. She also served as senior director of project management on the medical and development team, before assuming her current role in 2010. Outside of Astellas, Dr. Keating is an active volunteer at the University Of Illinois College Of Pharmacy where she mentors pharmacy students – many of whom are women – about careers in pharmaceutical drug development.
