Fifty Astellas employees took a day and volunteered at Lambs Farm. Lambs Farm is a nonprofit organization in Libertyville, Illinois, whose mission is to help people with developmental disabilities lead productive, happy lives.

During the day, the team worked to scrape and paint the fences, the gazebo and parts of the café on the grounds. They also planted flowerbeds, cleaned and organized the thrift shop and baked cookies in the bakery.

“This year, we were proud to continue our department’s annual volunteering tradition to help the residents of Lambs Farm,” said Mark Niemaszek, vice president, Commercial Operations. “It was wonderful to see how much we were able to accomplish by working together.”

The Astellas team represented employees from Commercial Operations, Marketing Health Systems and Information Systems.
