NORTHBROOK, Ill., May 9, 2017 – Today, Astellas was named one of America’s top midsize workplaces by Forbes Magazine. This is Astellas’ third consecutive appearance on the Forbes Best Employers list.
Forbes’ independent study, which surveyed more than 30,000 individuals in the U.S., measured how likely employees would be to recommend their organizations on a scale of one to 10. The respondents were then asked to name additional organizations in their industry they believed to be great employers. The data was compiled and developed into a list of the top employers across 25 industry sectors.
Since 2015, Astellas has been featured in several top employer lists in a variety of different areas, including LGBT equality, female empowerment, environmental sustainability and military support. During this time, Astellas also launched seven employee resource groups focused on empowering employees to establish diverse and inclusive support communities within the organization.
“We are constantly striving to make Astellas a leading company for both current and prospective employees by ensuring their needs are met,” said Collette Taylor, senior vice president, Human Resources and Facilities. “Achieving this recognition by Forbes each year helps to further solidify our position as a top employer in our industry and across the U.S.”
Astellas offers several world-class benefits packages designed to provide employees and their families the support needed to navigate their daily lives successfully. Notably, the company recently expanded their adoption assistance program to include coverage of embryo adoption expenses. In addition to comprehensive health benefits, employees also enjoy perks like flexible work hours and half-day Fridays to promote higher engagement and healthy work-life balance.
