Astellas Corporate Affairs Expands Medical & Development Communications Team

Northbrook, Ill. – Sept. 7, 2016 - Astellas announces the appointment of Stefanie Prodouz and Agatha Newman, who have joined Astellas as associate directors supporting communications for the company’s Medical & Development team.

“As we broaden Astellas’ communication efforts around the world, Stefanie and Agatha bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our growing team,” said Jeff Winton, senior vice president, Corporate Affairs. “Both will help expand Astellas’ vision to be on the forefront of healthcare innovation for patients.”

In her role, Prodouz will take on primary responsibility for external communications in support of the Medical & Development (M&D) organization and its leadership globally, including media relations and executive visibility efforts. Most recently, she held positions in investor relations and public affairs at AbbVie.  Prodouz is a graduate of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. in Communications with a minor in Business and Organizational Leadership.

In her role, Newman will take on primary responsibility for internal communications in support of the M&D organization and its leadership globally, including leading development of a scientific and research-focused content strategy.  Most recently, Newman held positions in corporate communications and global public affairs at AbbVie.  Newman graduated magna cum laude from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri and holds a B.A. in Communication with a certificate in Marketing.
