DEERFIELD, IL, June 1, 2009 – Astellas Pharma US, Inc. (“Astellas”) recently hired Dan Dunham as the vice president of compliance. Dunham will be responsible for governance of the compliance program to ensure Astellas’ observance of federal and state health care program requirements and regulations.

Prior to joining Astellas, Dunham held legal positions at Pfizer Inc., Pharmacia Corporation and Warner-Lambert Company. He managed civil and criminal investigations into manufacturing, laboratory, marketing and promotion and pricing practices, and supervised a docket of domestic and international commercial and products liability lawsuits. While at Warner-Lambert, Dunham created and implemented that company’s worldwide corporate compliance program and office. Dunham earned his law degree from Columbia University School of Law and his undergraduate degree at the University of South Dakota.
