NORTHBROOK, Ill., Sept 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Astellas Pharma today announced that Jamie McGarvey has been named to the role of senior manager, employee communications within the Corporate Affairs Department. She will report to Jennifer Saputo, associate director of employee communications.

Jamie will be responsible for developing and implementing employee communications throughout the US and the Americas, including executive support.

Most recently, McGarvey served as communications lead for global process and systems implementation programs at Baxter International Inc. She has also worked in various internal and external communications roles in Chicago at US Cellular Corporation and Swedish Covenant Hospital. McGarvey earned a Bachelor's Degree in English from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.
