NORTHBROOK, Ill., June 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Astellas has named Tatjana Dragovic, J.D., vice president and regional compliance officer for its Americas region. In this role, she will oversee compliance strategies and programs for Astellas in the US, Canada and Latin America. Dragovic assumes this role from Pat McCauley, J.D., who has been named area vice president for Urology and Primary Care Physician Sales at Astellas.

Dragovic will report to Linda Friedman, J.D., senior vice president and general counsel for Astellas in the Americas and will have dotted line reporting to Masao Yoshida, President and CEO of Astellas US. She will become a member of Friedman's leadership team and the Global Compliance Committee for Astellas.

Dragovic joined Astellas in 2007 as senior corporate attorney and was subsequently promoted to assistant general counsel and then associate general counsel, litigation. Dragovic began her career at Sidley Austin LLP in 2000. In this capacity, she represented a variety of pharmaceutical and medical device clients. Dragovic received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Ill. and graduated at the top of her class at Loyola University School of Law.
