Jim Robinson Outlines the Need to Create a ‘Patients-First’ Marketplace

In his latest opinion editorial for The Hill, Astellas Americas President Jim Robinson calls on leaders in health care to join together to create a ‘patients-first’ marketplace, one that prioritizes new market incentives, addresses chronic disease prevalence and bends the cost curve, among other proposals.

Despite the many changes taking place across healthcare, from payment system uncertainty, science becoming more complex and expensive and, above all, a systemic move away from addressing individual patient needs, Jim makes the point that a well-functioning marketplace with the patient at the center represents our nation’s best bet to unlock the full potential of this new era of medical invention.
