Senior Vice President Corporate Affairs and Chief Communications Officer; President, Astellas USA Foundation
Jeff Winton is senior vice president, corporate affairs. In this role, he is responsible for corporate brand and reputation management throughout the Americas region, where he leads a multi-faceted team of communications professionals focused on product communications, public policy and advocacy communications, corporate and employee communications, corporate events, government affairs, medical and development communications, corporate social responsibility and digital and social media. Winton is a member of the Astellas Americas Management Committee. Winton is also the executive sponsor of Astellas' People Living with Disabilities employee resource group.
Winton joined Astellas in 2013 as senior vice president, corporate communications and chief communications officer for Astellas.
Before joining Astellas, Winton served as the vice president and head of global communications and was a member of the global corporate affairs leadership team at Eli Lilly and Company. Previously, he was group vice president of global communications for Schering-Plough, vice president of global public relations at Pharmacia and director of public affairs for Roche Pharmaceuticals.
Winton earned a Bachelor of Science in life sciences from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He serves on the Cornell University CALS Advisory Council.
A member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and a Board member of the PRSA Health Academy, Winton was recognized as the first recipient of the PRSA Health Academy Excellence in Public Relations Award. He was also named PRSA Chicago Chapter Public Relations Professional of the Year. Winton is a member of The Seminar and the Arthur W. Page Society, two leading professional associations for senior public relations and corporate communications executives.
